About Me

My photo
Helen Vaughan Ceramics
I am ceramic arist with my roots deep in South Africa. I am inspired by South African landscapes, colour, texture and human condition. I am a textile designer, printmaker, painter, jeweller and potter. I have a ceramic studio in Observatory, Cape Town which fires up a storm of creativity producing functional and decorative pieces. Candleholders, vessels, vases, bowls and wall-mounted pieces... From the most sculptural vessel to the most precious tiny bowl, all receive the same dedicated nurturing through their baptism of fire.
